Cookie Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Solo Grind uses the smallest set of cookies it can: enough to keep you signed in, and nothing else. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party marketing pixels.

Why there is no cookie banner

Consent rules (including the EU ePrivacy Directive) require a banner for cookies that are not strictly necessary — advertising, profiling, and third-party analytics that identify you. Cookies that are essential to deliver a service you explicitly asked for are exempt.

Every cookie Solo Grind sets is in that essential category: they exist only to keep you logged in. Analytics here is cookie-free and aggregate. So there is nothing to ask consent for, and showing a banner would be noise rather than protection.

If advertising, third-party analytics, or any tracking cookie is ever added, a proper consent banner will be added at the same time and this page will be updated first.

Cookies that are set

  • Supabase authentication cookies — hold your login session and refresh token so you stay signed in between visits. Strictly necessary. Clearing them signs you out.

That is the entire list. Hosting providers may also set short-lived cookies for load balancing or security.

Analytics

Solo Grind uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for aggregate page views and load performance. Per Vercel's documentation these do not use cookies and do not build a persistent profile of you — they exist to show which pages are slow, not who you are.

Fonts are self-hosted and served from this site, so loading a page makes no request to Google or any other font provider.

Local storage

Some preferences are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. This never leaves your device and is not readable by anyone else:

  • sg-sfx — whether sound effects are on.
  • solo-grind-version — the last release whose notes you saw.
  • sg-msg-* — which one-time System messages have already played.
  • sg-boss-defeat-seen-* — which boss-defeat cinematics you have watched.
  • solo-grind-quest-history:* — a local cache of your recent quest log.

You can clear all of it at any time through your browser's site data settings. Doing so only resets those preferences — your account and progress are stored server-side and are unaffected.

Controlling cookies

Your browser can block or delete cookies for this site. Blocking the authentication cookies means you will not be able to stay signed in, since that is the only thing they do.
